A Feast in The Forest
To say it was a magical experience would not do it justice. The seamless execution of this night is something I will not forget in a hurry. A huge congratulations to everyone involved in making this dream a reality.
Upon arrival, I could barely contain my excitement as an evening of whimsical forest festivities stood before us.
Making our way into the forest; through an archway, across a bridge & down a path with the sound of soft jazz being played by a band of two, set the tone for the evening. It was going to be an event to be remembered. Surrounded by fairy lights & magnificent blue gum trees, it was like we were transported into a different era for the evening.
The forest opened up to reveal the longest table I have ever seen; beautifully decorated with foliage & food that added to the events fairy tale atmosphere.
The staff floated around seamlessly; attending to everyone’s needs in a discrete & professional manner. Floating from one end of the table to the other, constantly topping up the starters, delivering all the main courses, that fillet — just gorgeous, & desserts without drawing any attention to themselves made me question their origins. Were they in fact fairies themselves?
As the sun set & the night took hold; the ambience shifted to one of mystery & intrigue as people let their guard down & surrendered to the night; dancing freely in the forest to the sound of both old & new songs alike.
The whole event felt like all the best parts of a wedding; the food, the music, the dancing & the elated atmosphere. It was a celebration!
A huge thank you to Bertus for inviting us to be apart of this magical evening filled with great company, an absolutely stunning setting & good food.
